FIREFIGHTERS

Year 2 were lucky enough to be visited by our local firefighters who gave us a presentation about the dangers of fire. 

Mrs Walsh was also lucky enough to be able to dress in full firefighting gear along with the firefighters!!!

The children wore blindfolds to read braille and to pour water into cups.

 

    

 

TALENT COMPETITION

Children from Y2 recently entered the school talent competition.

 

SCHOOL CROSSING PATROL & ROAD SAFETY

We were visited by the school crossing patrol service in October who took Y2 around the school grounds and surround area.

 

 

Andy Allen visited Y2 in November and gave us a talk to launch the new Department for Transport's 'The boy who didn't Stop, Look and Listen' campaign for our area.

 

Remembrance Day visit to St Paul's Church and Church yard with Miss Wilkinson

 

  

 

Miss Wilkinson gave Year 2 a very interesting day both at Church and then during our class lesson when she brought in lots of war memories from her own family's time during the war.
