Wigan International Film Festival

Y6 with Mrs Wadsworth & Mrs Fulster recently took part in an Animation Workshop.
It was part of the Wigan International Film Festival at Wigan Pier.

The class were split into 5 groups.
Each had their own table and animation equipment (camera and sound recorder).
Each group had to produce a short scene from a famous book.

They had plasticine to make the models and craft equipment for the backgrounds.

They received special training in the art of stop-go animation.

The pupils recorded their own voices and narration for the soundtrack.

The puplls and their families were invited back to a special Saturday morning screening of their films.
