PYJAMA PARTY
Many thanks to everyone who attended our alternative to Halloween. Everyone had a really good time.
OPEN DAY REMINDER
Open day will be held on Thursday 15th November. Appointment letters will be sent home this week. Please ensure that you send these back by Friday.
ECO
Mr Duncan is leading our schools push towards Green Flag Accreditation. Are there any mums/dads/grandparents interested in gardening who would like to be involved in helping children care for plants and grow some vegetables. Could you spare an hour a week to help run a gardening club?

Would anyone like to volunteer to sit on our ECO Committee? Initially meetings will be every 2 weeks, probably on a Tuesday afternoon for half an hour per week.
INTERNATIONAL WEEK
Week commencing the 19th November will be International week in schools. Children will be learning about different countries, cultures and religions.
CHILDREN IN NEED
Friday, 16th November is ?Children in Need? day. This will be a non-uniform day for children who wish to donate 50p towards this charity.
?INN CROWD?
In conjunction with St James and St Matthews schools and churches we will be taking part in a joint production of the musical ?The Inn Crowd?. This will be on the 20th November. Any child in years 3 to 6 are welcome to participate but must return the tear off slip by this Friday.
EMBRA CE
On Monday, Teri Balon from Embrace will be coming into school to give an assembly to all children about ?Disability Awareness? and to work specifically with year 2 and 6.

FOOD TASTER EVENING
Wednesday 21st November
6.00 pm to 7.00 pm
Everyone is invited to meet Karen, our cook, to find out about and sample the menus that are available from Metro Catering. You are invited to ask questions as well as suggest new ideas.

You can also discover top tips for a Healthy Lunchbox.
Please return the slip provided n order that we can cater for everyone who wishes to attend.
WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK
We will be involved once again in the ?Walk to School Week? initiative.
Children will be given ?walk to school week? passports for week commencing Monday 12th November. Please endeavour to walk to school at least once in the week or simply leave your car a little distance from school and walk the rest of the way.
STOP BULLYING LUNCH
We will be holding a special ?Stop Bullying Lunch? on Thursday November 22nd. Children who normally have a packed lunch are invited to take part in this initiative. The cost is £1.80 which should be sent to the school office in an envelope on Friday 16th November.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE AND DISCO
Tuesday 11th December from 3.15pm to 5.00pm there will be afternoon tea with Santa. An opportunity for KS1 pupils to meet Father Christmas, more details to follow.
On the same day there will be a KS2 Disco from 5.15pm until 7.00pm, refreshments available, more details to follow.
Friday 14th December will be our Christmas Fayre, which once again will be after school. Refreshments, Father Christmas and much more - more details to follow
