WOWS Art Exhibition
Tuesday 12th June - 29th June
8.30 - 5.30pm
Our school has taken part in the above exhibition. Parents and children are invited to view the exhibitions of ”„Primary School Art”¦ on the above dates.
SCHOOL TRIPS
Year 5 will be visiting Worthington Lakes on Monday 11th June.
Y6 will be visiting Stockport Air Raid Shelters on Tuesday 12th June
Year 2 will be visiting the JJB stadium on Thursday 14th June...
Year 3 will be visiting Drumcroon on Tuesday 19th June.
Year 4 will be visiting Quarry Bank Mill and Manchester Museum on Friday 22nd June.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY:
SUMMER FAYRE Friday 15th June
This year our Summer Fayre will be held on
Friday, 15th June 2007, from 2.30pm onwards. It will be a non-uniform day for a donation of 50p. The theme is Caribbean and children are encouraged to come in appropriate fancy dress.
SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS
Tempest will be in school on Thursday 21st June to take school photographs
WALK OF WITNESS:
Sunday 1st July - meet at St Paul's Church at 1pm
If the weather is inclement we will simply walk down to St Judes for a joint service.
SPORTS DAY
Tuesday 3rd July KS2 am - KS1 pm
Reserve sports day will be the next day if the weather is bad
Attendance by ticket only - 2 per family
OPEN DAY
Thursday 5th July

How to Drug Proof Your Kids”¦
Care for the Family's major education initiative, How to Drug Proof Your Kids”was launched at the House of Lords on 28 October 2003. Hosted by Lord Swinfen.
Four members of our community have now attended a training conference enabling them to become Accredited presenters of How to Drug Proof Your Kids, a six week course to help parents engage with their children to help prevent alcohol and drug misuse and other addictions like smoking.
Our local school cluster, WOWs along with local churches, intend to promote this course through our schools. Our plan is initially to run two courses, in St Paul”¦s School, Goose Green and St Judes School, Worsley Mesnes these will begin early in June. The course will look at the points listed below,
?č Drugs: How bad is the problem, really.
?č Why kids take drugs.
?č How to educate kids to make good choices.
?č Prevention tools for parents.
?č Learning to intervene-and where to get help.
?č Handling a return to drug use [relapses]
