HOLIDAYS DURING TERM TIME
We realise the summer holidays are looming. Parents are discouraged from taking their child out of school during term time because this is detrimental to their education, especially children who are below 85% attendance. The Education Welfare Officer will investigate any children who are absent due to holidays during term time and there is the possibility of a fine.
Parents need to apply in writing and if there is insufficient supporting evidence of why the holiday needs to be taken during term time and parents or guardians decide to still take the holiday, then the absence will appear on the register and the child's record as unauthorised.

School closes on
Friday 13th July 2007
