WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK
Walk to School Week commences Monday 16th October.
Everyone will be encouraged to walk to school. If your child usually arrives at school by car then we suggest that you park further away from school and walk for just a short journey. There will be a wristband for those who succeed for the whole of the week.

WATER
Drinking water regularly hydrates the brain, please encourage your child to bring water to school each day. To help with this each child in school has been given a free water bottle. Please clearly label this with your child?s name.

SWEETS
As you know we are committed to Healthy Eating and as such have a ?no sweets policy?. May I thank the parents who have explored creative ways to celebrate birthdays. These have included games, fruit and books.

BUMBLEBEES
Bumblebees would like to remind all parents of their services. For enquiries please call Emma & Rachel on 07765328223

DATA COLLECTION
We have had a number of incidents when we have been unable to contact parents due to contact details being out of date. Please ensure that the date collection sheet that will be sent home next week is accurate and up to date. This should then be returned to school.

SCHOOL CAR PARK
May we again bring to your attention that for your child?s safety the car park is for staff and visitors to school only during school hours. Please do not congregate near the car park entrance or by the railings on the car park itself. Please also make sure that you park your car safely, eg on Warrington Rd or Clapgate Lane and that the road around the Freemasons does not become blocked for delivery vehicles. Thank you for your co-operation.

BOOSTER SEATS
As you must be aware it is now the law that children under 12 and under 4ft 6ins must use a booster seat when travelling by car.. If your child is being transported to out of school activities eg football, please ensure that their booster seat is brought to school or they may not be allowed to travel. It is the driver?s responsibility to ensure that all children have a booster seat and use a seatbelt.

SCHOOL COUNCIL VISIT TO DRUMCROON
Last week 6 members of our School Council were invited to Drumcroon to select pieces of artwork to be hung in our Gallery. These works of art will be used to inspire our pupils creativity throughout school. Many thanks to Mrs Savage for organising this.

SCHOOL NEWSPAPER
Megan & Jenny along with their team of reporters are busy producing the ?St Paul?s Express?. This is part of an initiative from WOWS, the cluster group of schools of which we are a member. This will be on sale at the end of half term, with all proceeds going to our School Fund.
VOUCHERS
We are still collecting Tesco vouchers and will also be collecting Sainsbury vouchers when they become available. Our new goalposts were one of the items we were able to purchase this year.
