Healthy School Status
Healthy School Open Evening:
Many parents attended and were given the opportunity to ask searching questions and discuss our new healthy School Policy. This is available on request. The policy demonstrates our commitment to improving the Health of Children - a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Some of the key points in our policy are:
We prefer children not to bring fizzy drinks in their lunchbox
We would prefer children to drink fruit juice or water
We prefer children not to bring sweets & chocolate in the lunchbox
We would prefer children to bring fruit, yoghurts, wafer biscuits
We prefer that children do not bring into school sweets to celebrate their birthday but instead explore other items, eg sharing a story/poem, giving stickers, a small game for class, a skipping rope for breaktime etc.
St. George's Day: On 25th April we celebrate St George's Day with a traditional English dinner. Those on sandwiches may choose to buy a school dinner £1.60 on this day, please let Mrs Bibby know by Friday 7th April.
PE: This has now been increased to 2 hours per week to be in line with our healthy school initiative. We ask you to encourage your child to have the correct kit available on the appropriate days.

End Of Term Disco
Will take place on Friday afternoon and this will see a welcome return of Mr. Ryder as DJ.
