HEALTHY SCHOOL STATUS
We intend to apply for the Healthy School accreditation. We think it will be well worth the hard work involved. A parent group will need to be formed from willing volunteers. More information will be given in future Newsletters.
ADULT NUMERACY - ABSOLUTELY FREE !
In response to parental requests we have organised a 12 week course to run from Wed. 1st March to Wed. 7th June (6.30 - 8.30 pm).
It is designed for Ks2 Maths (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6). The atmosphere will be friendly and relaxed.
Give your name to Mrs. Bibby if you would like to register for this course. Also-
A FREE CRECHE
Bumble Bees will be providing a free crèche whilst you attend the Numeracy course.
EARLY SPRING CLEAN
A great deal of older furniture and outdated resources have been cleared out to freshen up our school. Also-
RE - DECORATION
The painting of the Ks2 classrooms, stairwell and the refurbishment of the staffroom are due to begin in the Easter holiday.
STAFF TRAINING
Intensive Maths and ICT support is currently in operation to further our staff development. Most of our Teaching and Welfare Assistants are going through the process to gain accreditation from 'Jarvis Training' in 'Support work in Schools'.
ST. PAUL'S CHURCH
To help people discover the realities of the Christian faith, Lent can be a time of exploration and searching for spiritual truths. Why join with us on our journey?
Mar 1st Ash Wednesday Holy Communion 10.30am & 7.30pm [Our Lent Exploration begins]
Then on each Wednesday evening beginning at 7.30pm we will look at the following ideas. The themes come from a series of DVDs called 'Nooma' which will introduce each of the topics. The evening will no more than an hour, will include worship, reflection, the opportunity to talk over the ideas and a chance to listen to other peoples experiences. You can to come any evening or come to them all. If you are not sure if it's for you why not talk to Kelvin [the vicar]. 242984
