School Newsletter 10^th September 2009

 

 

SCHOOL CAR PARKING

 

Parents are not permitted, at any time, to park on the school car park.  As the building work progresses, all parking spaces are at a premium.

 

 

SCHOOL UNIFORM

 

Could we please remind parents to clearly label your child’s uniform to ensure that items do not go missing.  At the end of last term we ended up with a considerable amount of school uniform abandoned in ‘lost property’.

 

 

PARENTS MEETING

 

Monday, 14^th September at 5.30pm

 

Mrs Jackson will be available to speak to parents with any queries or questions regarding our current building work.

 

 

PTA MEETING

 

Monday, 14^th September at 7.15pm

 

This will be our first meeting of the year, coffee and biscuits are available, please do your best to attend.

 

 

BRASS BAND CONCERT

 

Wednesday, 16^th September 2009, 8 - 9.15pm

 

Hawkley Hall High School Drama Suite

 

Adults £7, concessions £5, family ticket £15

GIRLS FOOTBALL

 

Mondays 3.30pm to 4.30pm

 

Football for KS2 girls begins on Monday 14^th September.  Please bring kit and suitable footwear.

 

 

HEALTHY SCHOOL

 

May we remind parents that we are a Healthy School and as such encourage healthy choices.  We would appreciate if parents could investigate imaginative ways to celebrate birthdays, such as sending in a book to share with the class or stickers rather than sweets.

 

 

 Could parents ensure that their child brings in their named water bottle to school everyday.  Research demonstrates that a ‘hydrated brain is a clever brain’.
